In PROII, the top condenser section does not allow the selection of “subcool reflux only” – how to resolve this?

This post was last edited by marsmark on 2016-8-26 at 17:16. In PROII, the option “subcool reflux only” is not available for the top condenser; does anyone know how to resolve this issue? Please help. In PROII versions 9.2 and 9.4, there is an option called “subcool reflux only” listed among the choices under “condenser type”, but this option is always grayed out and cannot be selected. The gas phase in the tower I’m analyzing is very light, and complete cooling requires temperatures well below zero; the temperature of the reflux tank is 40°C. What is a reasonable setting in this case?

Replace Inside-out with RATEFRAC
Why isn’t it possible with inside-out?
Specify the temperature of the first tray to be 40 degrees
A flash tank can also be used in place of the condenser inside the tower: at 40°C, the gas phase is vented while the liquid phase returns to the tower
