Which type of thermocouple is suitable for use with molten aluminum? The thermocouples used in our company for molten aluminum always get covered with aluminum slag on their surface; over time, a layer of this slag forms, which leads to inaccurate temperature readings. When workers try to remove this slag from the bottom of the boiler using tools, they risk breaking the thermocouples. I would appreciate advice from those who are more experienced in this area

Your question is not about what type of thermocouple to use, but rather what material the protective casing should be made of. As long as the thermocouples have the same calibration value, they are all the same; what matters is the material of the casing!
