Is static pressure used for measuring steam flow? If the steam pressure is 3 kilograms, will the pressures on the high and low sides of the flow rate measurement tube both be around 3 kilograms?
Steam flow is measured as a differential pressure; the static pressures on the high-pressure and low-pressure sides are approximately 3 kilograms each, with the low-pressure side being slightly lower.......
Of course, it’s not always three kilograms; the differential pressure flow meter measures the static pressure difference. Since it is a differential pressure flow meter, the high and low pressures are naturally different! Due to pressure loss on the low-pressure side, it should be slightly below three kilograms
Gentle experts, if the fluid inside the pipe is not flowing, the static pressure is equal to the total pressure, which is 3 kilograms. Then, if the fluid is flowing at high speed, does the static pressure decrease? I think when steam is discharged, the buffer fluid that flows at first doesn’t have much pressure
What I mean is that if the fluid flows at high speed, the pressure on the pipe wall decreases; in other words, is the pressure on the pipe wall simply the static pressure, perhaps around 100 kPa? In fluid mechanics, isn’t it possible for static and dynamic pressures to convert into each other?
Many of the answers given are off-topic. For example, if the steam pressure is 5 kilograms, can the flow rate be measured by using two pressure transmitters set at 6 kilograms each to determine the pressure difference? This is considering only ideal conditions
Do you mean that whether the fluid is flowing or not has no effect on the pressure exerted by the fluid on the pipe wall, and that the static pressure in the pressure measurement tube remains unchanged? Then what is meant by the conversion between kinetic energy and potential energy in fluid mechanics?

I know; I’m asking whether the static pressure is the same when the fluid is flowing at high speed or when it’s stationary. I don’t understand why sometimes the sub-pipe pressure on one side of the flow rate is only 100 kPa, while the steam pressure is close to 5 kilograms
