D2Q: Following the numbering convention used in previous projects, pressure grade 1 corresponds to 300LB, and pressure grade 2 corresponds to 600LB. As for what material Q is made of, it’s carbon steel. I prefer to use Q based on its yield strength, and since the stress-strain curve for metal materials is determined based on the properties of carbon steel, carbon steel was chosen for this application, at 600LB
This post was last edited by Shanlin Yeshi on 2016-9-5 10:15. The pipe grade is D2Q: D denotes the weight class of 600# (A/H=Class150, B=Class300, D=Class600, F=Class1500), 2 indicates low-temperature steel (1=CS, 2=2.25Ni, 3=CS Glav., 21=SS304, 24=SS316L), and Q represents the sequence number
I don’t understand; what does the association’s textbook say? Let me tell you, these days it’s all ABCDE... used arbitrarily; how many things follow such rules? Even foreign-funded projects don’t use such numbering conventions
