Should there be a firewall between the power distribution room and the cabinet room?

The chief engineer said that a firewall should be installed between the power distribution room and the cabinets – is there any basis for this?
I know that a Class A fire wall must be installed between the transformer room and the distribution room. The electrical room has fire safety standards, so regardless of what’s next to it, fire protection measures must be in place; it’s just my guess.
The chief engineer generalized everything. According to Code for Building Design 6.2.7, the fire separation distances for indoor substation rooms, boiler rooms, and factory buildings can be determined based on the requirements for factory buildings. If not in an explosion-proof area, it can completely be designed according to civil standards.
