Anhui Shuguang Chemical’s coal-based hydrogen production project was successfully put into operation. On August 20, 2016, at 15:58, the gasifier in Shuguang Chemical’s coal-based hydrogen production project was fed with material successfully, and high-quality methanol was produced on August 23 at 12:10. The total investment in the coal-to-hydrogen project is 2.4 billion yuan; it is a project funded under Anhui Province’s strategy for the development of strategic emerging industries, as well as a key project in Anqing City. The completion and commissioning of this project mark the establishment of a complete production chain. It will enable the supply of a stable hydrogen source to Sinopec Anqing Branch’s 8 million tons per year oil refining facility, meeting its hydrogen needs for improving the quality of its petroleum products. Additionally, it will provide hydrogen and syngas as raw materials for the 250,000 tons per year butyl octanol production project in the Shuguang Chemical Park. It supplies utilities such as steam and nitrogen, as well as basic chemical raw materials to the enterprises in the Anqing Chemical New Materials Industry Cluster, laying a solid foundation for the development of enterprises worth billions and the creation of a park worth hundreds of billions. The air separation unit of Shenhua Ningmei’s coal-to-oil project produced qualified oxygen and nitrogen products. On August 27, Unit 3 of this 4 million tons per year coal indirect liquefaction project generated such products, two days earlier than originally planned. The air separation unit cluster for Shenhua Ningmei’s 4 million tons per year coal indirect liquefaction project consists of 12 air separation units, each with a capacity of 100,000 standard cubic meters per hour. This is the largest single-unit production capacity in Asia. The cluster is divided into two series: East and West. Each series includes 6 air separation units and 1 backup system, as well as 1 nitrogen compression system. Series 1 utilizes the process technology and complete equipment provided by the foreign company Linde, while Series 2 makes use of the process technology and equipment supplied by the domestic company Hangyang. The 11 core air compressors are the latest models of compressor units from German manufacturer Mannesmann, with one unit being developed through domestic efforts to achieve self-sufficiency in production. On August 23, it was learned from Shenhua Ningmei Group that the construction of the demonstration project for coal-to-oil production with an annual capacity of 4 million tons is progressing as planned. The methanol production line is scheduled to begin trial operations on October 15, while the oil production line is set to start trial operations on November 15, with the entire production process to be operational by the end of the year, enabling the production of qualified oil products.
Congratulations on the commissioning of the equipment; keep up the good work
