Gentlemen, I’m curious to know how everyone controls the water supply temperature in the deoxygenation tank of hydrogen production units. The load of the hydrogen production unit is generally automatically adjusted based on the pressure in the hydrogen pipeline network, so the amount of medium-pressure gas varies. The medium-temperature gas, on the other hand, serves as the heat source for the water in the deaeration tank. Therefore, when the medium flow rate changes, the water temperature in the deaeration tank also changes, which in turn affects the pressure in the deaeration tank; as a result, the water seal often breaks. The temperature control of the water supply process in our device is as shown in the figure below. During control, if the water temperature is high, the heat exchanger bypass is activated. However, when the bypass is opened to a large extent, it seems that there is an issue with the flow rate; perhaps the amount of water flowing through the heat exchanger decreases, which leads to water vaporization and thus water hammer in the upper piping system. I just want to ask everyone: has anyone encountered this problem? How do you control the water supply temperature in your systems? Thanks

In fact, the water flow passes through the heat exchanger; before entering the heat exchanger, there is a control valve used to regulate the level of the deaeration tank. There is also another flow path, which, structurally speaking, is essentially a bypass of the heat exchanger. On this bypass as well, there is a control valve whose opening is adjusted based on the temperature of the water flowing downstream.
