Free water in wet hydrogen sulfide corrosion

This post was last edited by “One Table of Sweet and Sour Pork” on September 9, 2016, at 10:39. Recently, I’ve been working on a storage tank designed to hold hydrogen sulfide-containing media. Appendix G of SH/T3075-2009 defines wet hydrogen sulfide corrosion; however, I don’t quite understand the phrase “free water present in the liquid phase.” How should this “free water” be interpreted? How can one determine whether the water in the liquid medium is free water? The process assignment isn’t indicated either
One more question: for the partial pressure of hydrogen sulfide in the gas phase specified in Appendix G, which is greater than 0.3 KPa, should it be calculated using the design pressure or the operating pressure?
The problem still hasn’t been solved; I hope someone experienced can give me some advice
