Our company plans to make improvements to the coupler guards, and we would like to purchase a batch of coupler guards for pumps as well as those for compressors. We would appreciate it if anyone in the industry who is based in Sichuan could recommend some reputable companies that specialize in manufacturing such guards+
For coupling guards, reference can be made to GBT 8196-2003 Mechanical Safety – Protective Devices. However, in practical use, it is sufficient as long as they provide protection; if possible, they can be manufactured by oneself

My family is in the business of coupling production, but I’ve only been in this field for a short time; previously I worked in the electronics industry. From my one year of experience, it seems that these are all enterprise-standard components, with the exception of the serpentine spring couplings, which have an aluminum casing. Mechanical products mainly rely on regular daily maintenance and use, as well as periodic lubrication checks. . . . I hope my modest efforts can serve as a starting point to inspire further discussion
It is recommended to manufacture the pump oneself, based on the needs of the operators on site for maintenance. It is not recommended to manufacture compressor coupling guards by oneself, as the sealing of such guards must be taken into account in order to manage the recovery and discharge of oil and smoke gases. Unless it is a coupling guard for a motor-driven reciprocating compressor.
Just do it according to your actual needs and standards, and you can save a lot of money. Our company does everything by itself.
The coupling guard can be made by oneself; to ensure it looks good, it is necessary to contact the pump manufacturer, but there are options available, such as spark-free types and so on; For compressors, surveying drawings or original factory drawings are required to proceed with the work; material considerations also need to be taken into account.
Do it yourself. It seems there are no companies in China that specialize in manufacturing coupling guards.
Make it yourself; many of us make it on our own. There are also some manufacturers that provide aluminum sheets, and those have all been replaced as well.
May I ask, is it not necessary to use aluminum when doing it by oneself? How should the requirement for no sparks be considered?
