For pressure vessels, as long as an outlet valve is installed, there must be a safety valve on the vessel itself (before the outlet valve). Because as long as there is a valve on the outlet, it is possible for it to be closed.
Especially, the pressure of the material entering the buffer tank is high, and closing the outlet valve can cause overpressure in the buffer tank.
There should be a safety valve on the buffer tank; it’s not meant to protect the buffer tank itself. Is there any other equipment in front of the safety valve, such as filters or coagulators?
