I would like to ask: why is the current high after the standby pump starts operating? The pump that was in use before is basically not working at all. How can this be explained?
The standby pump may experience high flow and high current due to an excessively large opening of the outlet valve. When checking the standby pump, verify whether the inlet filter is dirty, and whether there is cavitation or air entrapment.
It’s likely that the medium concentration is too high, which has caused the inlet of the original pump to get blocked; as a result, no flow occurs； The inlet of the backup pump is not blocked, but the medium concentration is too high (the specific gravity of the medium has increased), causing it to operate beyond its rated capacity.
