How to distinguish between welded and seamless S30408 pipes on equipment drawings
Indicate the fitting standard number on the drawing
If there is one piece of equipment, all pipes use S30408; some use welded pipes while others use seamless pipes. How to distinguish the markings on the diagram.
Number the sections of the pipes on the diagram and list them accordingly
Are they all the same size, with a mix of seamless and sewn ones, or is there only one format for the same size? If being lazy, then write it as seamless or seamable ； If you want to distinguish them, list the locations of the tubed pipes.
There may be issues with the design or the materials used.
If only the manufacturer S30408 is indicated on the diagram, can it be either seamless or welded?
It should depend on the relevant standard, right? Which standard does S30408 belong to?
Write down the corresponding pipe standard number for that part number; the standards for welded pipes and seamless pipes are different.
It can also be indicated in the remarks section of the material list; if it is a seamless tube, simply write “seamless” in the remarks
