The wastewater is transferred from the wastewater tank via a centrifugal pump into IBC tanks, from where it is taken away for treatment by a third party. However, the centrifugal pump has a high flow rate of 40 m3/h, and the delivery pipeline is DN80 in size (there is a control valve and two manual valves on the pipeline, with a hose at the end that inserts into the IBC tank); thus an IBC tank can be filled in no time. It is difficult for the operator to operate the manual valves, which can lead to wastewater spilling over ; Moreover, if the flow rate is too high, it is easy for the liquid to splash out of the tank... How can we effectively reduce the transfer flow rate and outlet flow speed to prevent wastewater from spilling or splashing?
Reduce the hand valve before conveying. Or add a valve in a location where it is easy for the operator to access.
The manual valve was replaced with a globe valve, a flow-limiting orifice plate, a backpressure valve, and a return line.
Addition: 1. Change to tank truck transportation; 2. Add an intermediate tank at the wastewater tank and the bottling area; return the flow to the wastewater tank, and use the intermediate tank to facilitate bottling through a pressure difference ; 3. Make a liquid separation tank that can hold multiple buckets at the same time

In addition to manual operation, an effective approach for this type of filling is to use a WIC weight control valve; the tank is placed on a weighing conveyor belt, and a control valve is installed on the filling pipeline. Once the weight of the barrel reaches the set value, the filling control valve closes automatically. The operator only needs to replace the full bucket with an empty one; it’s simple and practical. There’s no risk of leakage, and it doesn’t cost much either.
