The Linyuan Coal Clean Utilization by Grade Project has a total investment of around 15.2 billion yuan and is carried out in two phases. Phase 1 involves the construction of facilities for the graded utilization of 6 million tons of coal per year, along with related supporting systems; the total investment for this phase is 7.2 billion yuan. The main installations include a plant for producing 600,000 tons of ethylene glycol, as well as self-powered power generation units consisting of 3×50 megawatt back-pressure steam turbine generators. This phase enables the processing of 6.35 million tons of lignite per year and the production of 1.48 million tons of clean coal. The second phase involves the construction of facilities for the processed utilization of 9 million tons of coal on a differentiated and graded basis, along with related supporting systems, with a total investment of 8 billion yuan. Project No. 6 has a framework agreement finalized at the end of June; it is currently under approval process, with full construction set to begin by the end of the year.
Is it true that lignite is dry-distilled to produce some coal tar, and the remaining upgraded lignite (coke) is gasified to produce syngas, which is then used to make ethylene glycol?

Technical source: In 2012, the key technologies and equipment for heatless carrier regenerative rotary bed coal pyrolysis developed by Shenwu Group passed **-level appraisal. This technology features not only the achievement of near-zero emissions of traditional pollutants but also a new patented approach that allows coal to be heated in complete isolation from air, enabling a low-temperature carbonization process that yields three types of products: synthetic oil, synthetic natural gas, and upgraded coal. In 2007, Shenwu Group established a pilot-scale facility with a coal processing capacity of 3 tons per hour, and applied for 17 invention patents and 7 utility model patents.
The main technologies currently used in China for the differentiated and hierarchical utilization of low-grade coal include: 1. The new pyrolysis process for low-calorific-value coal using a regenerative rotary bed, developed by Beijing Shenwu Environmental Energy Technology Group; 2. The technology for the efficient conversion of low-grade coal into multiple products, developed by Shaanxi Coal and Chemical Industry Group; 3. The industrial-scale (FTH) technology for the hydrogenation of all fractions of medium/low-temperature coal tar to produce intermediate distillate oils, developed by Shenmu Fuyou Energy Technology Co., Ltd.; 4. The technology for drying lignite using superheated steam and recovering insulated washing water, developed by Shandong Tianli Drying Co., Ltd.; 5. The new technology for generating electricity from low-calorific-value coal using regenerative systems, developed by Beijing Shenwu Environmental Energy Technology Group; 6. The coal grading and processing technology developed by Beijing Institute of Low-Carbon Clean Energy (NICE); 7. The combined process of solvent extraction and hydrogenation reforming of coal tar, developed by Huafu Engineering Co., Ltd.; 8. The technology for the hierarchical conversion of low-grade coal through pyrolysis and combustion, resulting in simultaneous production of heat, electricity, gas, and tar, developed by the Institute of Thermal Engineering at Zhejiang University; 9. The binder-free roller compaction technology for hard lignite, developed by China Tianchen Engineering Co., Ltd.; 10. The technology for treating and reusing wastewater generated in coal chemical processes involving high phenol and ammonia contents, developed by Harbin Institute of Technology
The main working principle of the regenerative rotary bed pyrolysis technology is as follows: Raw coal is crushed, screened, dried, and screened again, after which it is fed into the rotary bed pyrolysis furnace through a feeding system. It passes through a preheating zone and a reaction zone, where it is ultimately heated to 500–700°C, resulting in the production of synthetic oil, synthetic natural gas, and improved-quality coal. The heat carrier-free regenerative rotary bed pyrolysis technology enables the efficient and comprehensive utilization of medium- and low-grade coal, improves the utilization rate of low-quality energy sources, reduces air pollution, and achieves near-zero emissions of traditional pollutants. This technology integrates multiple advanced techniques such as radiant tube heating, regenerative combustion, and high-temperature rotary beds. Through research on dozens of patent technologies, the core equipment, the \"coal rotary bed pyrolysis reactor,\" was developed, thereby creating an integrated process that meets the requirements of coal pyrolysis characteristics and processes.
Ainovo and Huafu are the same organization, aren’t they?
Shenwu Group acquired Huafu, and currently Huafu is the engineering company under the group.
Where does the coal for this project come from? What kind of coal is used?
