Help! Why does the dual-flange level gauge transmitter from Rosemount show “FAIL MODULE”?

FAIL MODULE means a faulty module, with the sensor being disconnected or malfunctioning. The common reasons for the “FAIL MODULE” error are as follows: 1. The diaphragm box is damaged. If, after removing it and thawing it, the error still appears when power is applied, then it’s likely impossible to fix it, as few companies in China can repair a damaged diaphragm head; it’s better to purchase a new one. 2. It may be caused by a fault in the circuit board or electrical appliance, possibly due to excessive temperature. 3. Overpressure causes damage to the sensor. 4. Communication failure between the sensing diaphragm box and the loosening unit. 5. The measuring medium does not meet the requirements. 6. Short-circuit the shield wire and the 24V negative wire. Generally, after a FAIL MODULE fault occurs, it cannot be resolved using a HART handheld communicator.

There are several reasons for this issue. 1. It could be a problem with the circuit board; try using a different one. 2. The cable might be loose – check its connections and tighten it. 3. The cable may be damaged; if there is damage at the point where the cable meets the sealing material or the diaphragm box, pressure cannot be transmitted, which is why this error appears. In such cases, the transmitter needs to be replaced; it cannot be repaired by individuals, but it can be sent back to the factory for repair. 4. The diaphragm box might be damaged – check its condition
