Dear experts, I have a temperature transmitter that functions normally most of the time, but occasionally its reading suddenly jumps to around 80%, before returning to normal. This happens several times a day – what could be causing this?

You can disconnect this temperature sensor, provide it with several standard signals, and see its output. When there are sudden changes, ask the process team whether any relevant operations were carried out on site at that time. Find a approach and work through it step by step.
Change to another one; there’s no other way.
There is a high possibility of interference; this can also occur if the wiring is poor or if the pipes vibrate. It’s possible to check for such issues
Step 1: First, check whether the wiring is secure, whether the cable insulation is in good condition, and whether the shielding wiring is proper. Step 2: If Step 1 confirms there are no issues, then replace the temperature sensor; if fluctuations still occur, it’s likely due to interference.
When a fault occurs, first determine whether the problem lies with the sensor, the temperature change mechanism, or the display section; in other words, the entire circuit needs to be checked. If it is confirmed that the temperature change mechanism is damaged, replace it directly
