I recently found that my Sina email account had been stolen; after trying various ways to recover it, I ended up having to submit a photo of my ID card. After recovering it, I found that my email had been logged in from Yancheng, Jiangsu, and Dongying, Shandong. Your Sina email account was logged in wirelessly on 2016-07-31 06:23:16 from Yancheng, Jiangsu (117.93.79.*). This post was last edited by altpage on 2016-10-8 at 18:24. Is your Sina email account linked to Weibo? If so, it’s likely to have been stolen and used to post on Weibo. I use my email accounts only for ordinary communication, so it won’t cause much loss if they’re stolen. Additionally, various email accounts will be locked by the system if not logged in for an extended period of time, and phone verification will be required upon the next login.
I use QQ Mail, and I’m quite mindful of security in this regard, so there’s basically no risk of it being stolen.
I remember when I first started college, QQ became popular, so I registered a 7-digit account, which was then stolen. It was an internet cafe at the time; when I logged off, I didn’t shut it down, and after someone else inserted a card, it was possible to see that QQ was still running. I’ve encountered it several times.
I do have Weibo, but when I lost my password, I didn’t see that I was following anyone; I use it very rarely anyway. After recovering the password, it actually requires phone verification to log in.
I’ve had this email account for 17 years; it was hacked for the first time this year, and I don’t use it very often.

When it comes to NetEase, things get really intense – if you don’t log in for half a year, your account will be deleted right away.
