After the diameter of the process pipeline is determined based on the initially selected flow velocity or pressure drop per 100 meters, how is the allowable pressure drop for the pipeline determined during the diameter verification?
View the hg20570 specification! It’s very detailed above~~~ I’ve shared it~~~
In fact, when determining the pipe diameter, unless there are special circumstances, economic flow velocity is the main factor to consider, and this in turn depends on the driving force – is it pumping? Force-feed? As long as it can meet the transportation requirements, that’s sufficient.
Determine the pipe diameter based on the economic flow rate, and then estimate the pressure drop, in order to determine whether there is sufficient driving force and to find out the head required by the pump.
First, select the economic flow rate and calculate the pipe diameter; after determining the pipe diameter, check whether the pressure drop falls within the allowable range. If it is acceptable, the process is complete; if not, adjust the flow rate and recalculate the pipe diameter.
Is there a specified allowable range for pressure drop, or is it a requirement dictated by the process?
I’d like to ask the experts how to estimate the voltage drop?
This is the most basic chemical engineering calculation; I suggest you take a look at books on principles of chemical engineering, fundamental chemical engineering, or handbooks on chemical process design. Read them slowly and try to do the calculations – you must go through this process.
At normal economic flow rates, the pressure drop remains within the limits permitted by the pipeline; it mainly depends on the process requirements
Thank you to the expert for guiding me. Are you a designer?
