Dear marine friends, I have just started working and am currently involved in sludge dewatering. What kind of centrifugal equipment would be suitable for use in such projects? The initial sludge moisture content is around 90%. Thank you for that
I think a centrifuge is not suitable for separating the slurry you mentioned. There are many devices for liquid-solid separation, which are selected based on the properties of the suspension and its solid content. For the slurry as you mentioned, I recommend using a plate and frame filter press, along with a screw pump or diaphragm pump for filtration. After completion, blow it dry again using compressed air, and what is obtained is the cake.
