Could some expert please advise me on what type of valve is generally used as the primary valve associated with pressure gauge instruments? Should the valve type be a flanged valve or one that is welded directly? Or threads – what is the range of options available for the primary valve on instruments? Urgent, need expert advice! ! !
The concepts of primary valve and secondary valve generally apply only to indoor instruments; field pressure gauges do not have these concepts. Valves are connected by welding, socket welding, or by first using threaded connections and then sealing them with welding.
So, for the primary valve on the instrument panel, if it is a valve made to American standards, what is the typical technical description like? How many more pounds? Thank you, thank you
The pressure gauges we usually use come with a one-way valve, and that is a needle valve; you can do some research to find out more.
It is recommended to use a gate valve with a drain port; it performs better than a needle valve. Sinopec uses this approach, and you can contact me if you need it
The valves used with instruments are generally needle valves, though ball valves are also used. The connection method is usually threaded; there is an internally threaded instrument interface on the pipeline or equipment. Flanged connections also exist, but they are less common. I’ve never seen direct welding done.
Depending on the severity of the medium leakage requirements, DBB is generally used for toxic, flammable, and explosive media, while ordinary needle valves are used for regular media.
