For sand casting, what is the minimum allowable wall thickness? There is a set of valves with a wall thickness of 10 mm; after sand casting, machining often reveals defects such as porosity and sand holes inside them ； Is it because the wall thickness of sand-cast parts needs to be greater than a certain value? What is the value of this minimum wall thickness?
What sand casting process is used? Any material works; the thinnest castings made by sand casting have reached 2 MM in thickness. Different casting factories use different techniques.
