I’m not sure; I only know there are two categories: floating and fixed. What about elastic balls? A new product?
Is the poster referring to a ball valve with a flexible seat? The seat of both fixed ball valves and V-ball valves is elastic, while the ball itself remains fixed. A spring is present inside the seat during sealing; if the seat and the ball element wear out over time, the spring inside the seat helps to maintain a good seal.
