An environmental protection project that ensured all pipeline materials met petrochemical standards, with high-quality pipes being used. All steel pipes are seamless, all flanges are welded, and all connections use double-headed studs. The cost of the piping section is insanely high; I’m shocked.

Haha, sometimes that’s the case with wealthy clients. I worked on a refined sugar project in Cambodia once, where the client insisted that all pipes and equipment in contact with the materials had to be made of stainless steel. As a result, even a CO2 pipe with a diameter of DN500 and a length of several hundred meters had to be made of stainless steel. The chief engineer in charge of reviewing the designs asked why such expensive materials were used; I replied that it was the client’s requirement – there was nothing we could do about it.
