What are the steps to switch the control valve to bypass mode? Please advise, experts
Open the bypass valve, close the control valve, and close the isolation valves before and after it. Of course, depending on the circumstances, avoid system fluctuations and strictly control the switching speed!
First, open the bypass valve slowly; while doing so, maintain constant communication with the control room. Once the bypass valve is fully open, contact the control room to close the self-regulating valve, and also close the manual valves located before and after the self-regulating valve on site
Gradually open the bypass valve, while the control system must pay attention to the changes in the opening degree of the control valve. When the opening degree of the control valve automatically reaches 0, the bypass valve remains at its current opening degree. At this point, the valves located before and after the control valve can be closed, completing the switchover; you can then do whatever you want with the control valve. Of course, when it is necessary to adjust the pipeline flow, someone needs to be sent to the site to adjust the bypass throttle valve.
It’s very simple: adjust the control valve at the border to open the bypass manual valve, ensure good communication between the inside and outside, keep everything in sync, and then the parameters such as flow rate will be consistent.
It is important to ensure that closing the upstream valve and opening the bypass valve are done simultaneously, and to maintain timely communication with the operators on site in order to prevent significant fluctuations in the control parameters; the downstream valve should be closed only after the switching process is complete.
