Why isn’t the primary sedimentation tank included among the basic components of the activated sludge process?
Aren’t you a professional? This is my activated sludge method, but it seems there are a sedimentation tank and a secondary sedimentation tank; so does the first one count as a primary sedimentation tank?
For this question, the basic activated sludge process consists of four components: the aeration tank, the secondary sedimentation tank, the recirculation system, and the disposal of excess sludge. Well, how should I put it? Municipal wastewater treatment systems may have grit chambers, while industrial wastewater treatment systems generally do not have primary sedimentation tanks; instead, the equalization tank serves as a substitute for the grit chamber. The primary sedimentation tank has basically been replaced!
Because that belongs to preprocessing, I guess. . . . No microorganisms are at work
