According to the standards, for the static grounding of stainless steel or non-ferrous metal pipes, the grounding wires cannot be connected directly to the pipes; instead, a connecting plate made of the same material must be used as an intermediary. I would like to ask, what does this connection plate refer to? I have seen two types on site; one is a rectangular plate that is welded directly to the pipe, and it can be connected to an electrostatic bonding wire. Another type is a rectangular plate with two circular holes; one end is secured to the flange with studs, while the other end can be connected to an electrostatic bypass wire. Are both of these considered static discharge bonding plates?

For threaded pipes, a welding bolt connection is required at the joint to provide an earth wire; in the case of flanged connections, the earth wire is connected directly to the flange bolts. Flanges with more than 5 bolts do not require a cross-connected earth wire, but it is still necessary to measure the earth resistance
