What is the difference between a jump prevention baffle and a grid weir?
Each unit is simply called by a different name. The anti-splash plate is generally used when there is a large volume of liquid, to prevent overflow; the grid weir is based on an eccentric liquid dropping tube design and is also used when the volume of liquid is low
Do you mean that the shapes of these two towers are similar? Could you be more detailed? Are baffle weirs used on eccentric downcomers, but not on side downcomers?
