HPF desulfurization exhaust gas treatment

Our factory uses the HPF method for desulfurization. A exhaust gas cleaning tower was recently installed. Acid washing is performed first, followed by alkali washing. The acid solution is introduced directly from the sulfurammonia mother liquor, while the alkali solution is introduced from liquid caustic. After the cleaning tower was put into use, there was a smell. I can’t describe the specific taste; has anyone else experienced this? I wonder if it’s because sulfurammonium solution is used as the acid source, resulting in incomplete absorption of ammonia in the exhaust gases? Has anyone else had a similar experience? ?
How to introduce ammonium sulfide mother liquor? Our plant introduces concentrated sulfuric acid; after absorbing ammonia, ammonium sulfate mother liquor is produced, which is then sent back for further processing into ammonium sulfate.
