Where is the appropriate location to insert the thermometer in the storage tank? As mentioned in the question, there are coils at the bottom of the tank. The issue is that the tank might be at a low liquid level; since the thermometer needs to be submerged in water, does that mean it can only be placed at the bottom where the liquid level is low? Additionally, the effect of the coils on the thermometer must also be taken into account – must the thermometer be placed above the coils? Are there any standards regarding this?
Well, if the storage tank is very tall, wouldn’t it mean that to insert something from the top to the bottom, one would have to go quite deep? ?
If the storage tank is very tall, it is generally divided into upper, middle, and lower layers.
I agree with the opinion of the user from floor 2: use a thermometer with a sleeve and insert it into the liquid. Generally, the thermometer should be located at two-thirds of the normal liquid level, measured from the bottom of the tank, and fluctuations in the liquid level must also be taken into account.
I’ve seen many thermometers for storage tanks equipped with internal coils, and they are all of the type that feature long tube assemblies running from the top to the bottom of the tank; generally, manufacturers also use this design. Our factory’s hot water tanks also have this design.
