Regarding the design of the glass panel in the lubricating oil tank of the main fan in catalytic units, ours has a glass panel installed right next to the oil tank; when this panel breaks, it’s necessary to drain the oil from the tank and replace it, which is quite troublesome. I’m not sure what the advantage of such a design is. Most of these units are equipped with a pressure relief valve, along with an external glass panel level gauge, allowing for easy replacement in case of damage
Ours falls into the latter category. The glass plate level gauge has pressure tapping valves at the top and bottom.

It’s better to consider adding a valve; it makes things easier to handle. Also, it seems that the guidelines require replacing the glass-level gauge used for liquefied gas with a magnetic flip-type level gauge.
There’s something wrong with this design; it’s not a special medium with special requirements! An inlet valve should be added; find an opportunity to do it! As for the settings over there, it’s probably a bundled sale!
Are magnetic flip plates better than glass plates? In my opinion, glass plates are more straightforward and intuitive, as the liquid level can be seen directly: Q
We are skeptical about it as stated in the guidelines.
I think both magnetic flap and glass panel types have their own advantages and disadvantages. Magnetic flip plates are more intuitive and easier to identify, especially when the medium is dirty; it’s difficult to see clearly through contaminated glass plates, and they become unclear again after being cleaned. With magnetic flap switches, it’s obvious at a glance.
When the floating medium inside the magnetic flap becomes dirty, it is prone to getting stuck, resulting in malfunction of the liquid level indication
We use pressure guiding valves here for easy replacement; magnetic flap valves were not chosen.
