Load coefficient positive pressure, negative pressure?

In the sealing design of Layout Type 3 under the API682 standard, are the load coefficients divided into positive pressure and negative pressure ranges? May I ask what the positive and negative pressure ranges of the load coefficients mean? Thank you.
Positive pressure and negative pressure are the common terms used; most structures are of positive-pressure type, while a few are of negative-pressure type. In fact, it should be understood in terms of external pressure and internal pressure, that is, the position of the high-pressure side relative to the sealing ring band. If the high pressure is on the outside, it is called external pressure (positive pressure); if it is on the inside, it is called internal pressure (negative pressure).
