Do a steam boiler with a heat output of 6 tons/h and a heat oil boiler with the same heat output consume the same amount of coal?
Theoretically, it’s the same, but it depends on the combustion method, furnace structure, and combustion conditions. . . .
Our company has both heat transfer oil boilers and steam boilers. The steam is 8 tons at 190 degrees, and the heat transfer oil has a calorific value of 3 million Btu; both are used for the same purpose. Heat transfer oil boilers have 20% lower energy consumption
