Dear sea friends, who has experienced upgrading the Allen-Bradley DCS system from the FM series to the K series?
The manufacturer of this SIS model from the recent K series is called Upgrade FM, and it has been in use ever since
We are SM, MACSV4
I’ve never encountered this; we went straight to the K series. How exactly is the upgrade mentioned by the original poster meant to be carried out – by keeping the cabinet and replacing only the hardware and network?
Our unit uses F-series modules, with the system being MACS5.2.3; however, the cost of an upgrade is too high, so we have no choice but to continue using it as it is

Then it’s better to simply issue a tender for a new project – currently, both Zhongkong and HollySys offer their services at very low prices, which is definitely cheaper than going through an upgrade contract.
