Started working at an oil refinery after graduating from undergraduate school

Don’t mention postgraduate studies or working at a design institute after graduating from undergraduate school. I have a degree in Process Equipment and Control Engineering and work in a refinery. How can I improve myself quickly? What journals and books should I read regularly, and what steps should I take? Please share
