Do not recommend this manufacturer! For self-priming pumps, the self-priming height must be considered first ; There are several factors to consider regarding the self-priming height: 1. Inlet pressure (whether it’s an open tank or a pressurized tank). 2. Medium temperature and vaporization pressure (the temperature shouldn’t be too high; in some accident tanks with temperatures over 200 degrees, priming isn’t possible at all). 3. The self-priming height that manufacturers can achieve is generally only around 6–7 meters; anything higher is purely unrealistic. So when designing, don’t set the value too high, otherwise you’ll face problems with priming ; 4. Keep the inlet pipeline of the self-priming pump as short as possible to reduce pipe resistance ; Next is to consider the insulation of the self-priming pump, as once it has been filled for the first time, no further attention is needed. If the medium remains inside the pump and freezes, the pump won’t be able to start again next time ; Then it’s time to choose the structure; old-fashioned external and internal mixing types, as well as the large teapot style, should be avoided ; Ultimately, it depends on your standards; in the petrochemical industry, it’s best to follow API or SH standards. If you think national standards or ANSI standards are sufficient as well, that’s fine too (as they are cheaper) ; There are a wide variety of manufacturers of self-priming pumps; I wish you success in finding a good one. If you’re purchasing in large quantities, it’s best to conduct an on-site inspection~
