Has any expert used an external-type level gauge? We use it on the spherical tanks here, but the effect is very poor I don’t know what the problem is

We used it for measuring the liquid level of liquefied gas in spherical tanks, and the results were very poor
In what occasions do you use it, and is it useful?
We use them for spherical tanks as well as for light oil tanks; the products you can use must be those from a company in Xi’an, right?
