The E+H cable-guided wave radar is used to measure non-linearity; the cable length is 16.8 meters, the liquid level is 5 meters, and the measurement range is 5 meters. Liquid level is 14.56, gauge length is 16.5 meters. Why?
The waveguide does not have openings at the higher sections, resulting in the liquid column inside the waveguide being below the liquid level in the tank.
Low liquid level is correct, high liquid level is not. It’s possible to observe a few more high liquid level points; there might be some interference somewhere that is causing inaccurate liquid level measurements. Could it be related to the installation of the guided wave tube? If it’s a waveguide, what was said above could be true; it depends on how high the opening is. The liquid level will get stuck around the highest opening. If this is the issue, remove and reattach the radar flange, and the liquid level will return to normal immediately. Of course, this problem will occur again in the future, but at least we can be sure that this is the cause.
At 15.3 meters, it was tried to remove the radar head, and the liquid level indication remained unchanged. Strange! ! ! ! :L:L:L:L
Use the radar itself to send signals to the DCS and select several points to check the linearity. If there are no issues, it is recommended to examine the waveform diagram to determine whether there are high-reflection waves at 14.56; identify the location causing these high-reflection waves and find a way to eliminate them.
