Hello everyone, I have a question I’d like to ask you. The company used a differential pressure type level gauge in the past; it seemed to be from Yokogawa, and it was used to measure the level in the condensate tank. Water was filled in the pressure transfer tube. I clearly remember that the end connected to the bottom of the tank was on the low-pressure side (L), while the end connected to the top of the tank was on the high-pressure side (H). Moreover, the measurement range shifted downward ; Then I wonder, in a differential pressure level gauge with silicone oil in that type of pressure guiding tube, which side is connected to the high-pressure side? Which side connects to the low-voltage side? Isn’t it the same principle as filling with water? Why do my colleagues say that the bottom of this tank should be connected to the high-pressure side? Then must the header installation be at a height that is lower than or equal to that of the tank bottom measurement point? Could everyone please explain it?
In all cases, the lower part is the high-pressure side (orthodontic pressure, +), while the upper part is the low-pressure side (negative pressure side, –).
On the positive and negative pressure chambers of the transmitter, there are indications indicating the high and low pressure sides; generally, the lower side corresponds to the positive pressure side, while the higher side is the negative pressure side. It’s okay if they are installed in reverse – a calibration adjustment will suffice. The same goes for the installation of the gauge: it’s not required that it be below the lowest measurement point in the tank. All these issues can be resolved through calibration adjustments
It doesn’t matter; it can be handled in any way. There are no restrictions on the installation location of double-flange level gauges, so they can be relocated as appropriate
For the installation of a double-flange level gauge, the positive-pressure side is located at the bottom and the negative-pressure side at the top; there is negative migration. There are no specific requirements regarding the installation location of the transmitter, but it should generally not be above the pressure sampling point on the negative-pressure side.
For double flanges, the positive pressure is at the lower side while the negative pressure is at the upper side; the position doesn’t matter. The same goes for pressure guide tubes – they can be installed in any position; as long as the calibration is done correctly
