The secondary steam generated by the blowdown expansion vessel in our facility is currently vented to the atmosphere; we would like to recover it – what can it be used for?

It is not highly recommended; you need to ensure the discharge volume under expansion vessel failure conditions, so steam cannot be directed directly there – intermediate heat exchange is required. Then, considering the flow rate under accident conditions, that efficiency will be impressive.
