Our company has a metering pump that is driven by a worm gear mechanism; the elements responsible for regulating the flow rate are two eccentric wheels connected to each other by pins in an arc-shaped keyway, and it also has a plunger. May I ask whether this pump is of mechanical type or pneumatic type? I don’t understand how to change the measurement settings. There’s no flow now; the diaphragm can move, the air valve is fine, and no suction is being generated. I’d appreciate some advice from those who are more experienced
It should be a mechanical type driven by a motor; the low output volume is probably due to poor sealing. Check the seals of the inlet and outlet valves, as well as whether the diaphragm is damaged.
By the valve you mentioned having no problem, do you mean the check valve at the pump outlet? It’s possible there is air in the hydraulic chamber
They are all new air valves that have just been installed. During testing, the outlet valve was opened and water was poured in from above, but the water didn’t flow out; it seems there’s no air on the diaphragm side
The inlet and outlet valves as well as the diaphragm have all been replaced, but the flow rate still isn’t adequate. It’s driven by a motor; those with pistons also belong to the mechanical type, right?
Take a photo of your device and send it over; I’m not sure what components it has – are there hydraulic refill valves, exhaust valves, pressure relief valves, etc.?
I don’t know how to change the measurement; is it because the plunger’s stroke is too short?
Additionally, the plunger ring may also fail to seal properly
If the plunger seal is not good, will the flow rate increase, but at a lower level?
