How do hydraulic actuators achieve regulation functionality

Hey everyone, does anyone know how hydraulic actuators achieve regulation? For example, pneumatic actuators are primarily activated or deactivated at different angles by an electrical positioner that sends a 4–20mA electrical signal; but since hydraulic actuators do not have hydraulic positioners, how is adjustment achieved in their case?
I’m not exactly sure, but there is an electro-hydraulic conversion device
Generally, pure hydraulics are only used for switching functions; for regulated control, electro-hydraulic actuators must be used.
As mentioned above, there are electro-hydraulic devices; pure hydraulic systems are only used for switching functions
It is recommended to use electro-hydraulic or pneumatic-hydraulic actuation devices!
