How to seal the vent holes in the wall of an internal floating roof tank? Is it to remove the ventilation holes entirely and weld a plate in place of the original openings?
Be careful; make sure the tank is properly steamed. Remove the internal floating disk first, then steam it again – flash explosions can easily occur. As for the vent hole, weld it shut after steaming the tank.
