The flow of the process gas through the heat exchanger is as follows: The process gas coming out of the first converter enters the inlet of the tube side of the process gas heat exchanger; it then exits from the outlet of the tube side and goes into the second cooler. The process gas exiting the second cooler enters the shell side of the heat exchanger, before proceeding to the second converter. The liquid sulfur in the tube side of the process gas heat exchanger enters the liquid sulfur tank through a sulfur seal device, while no such seal device is installed on the shell side of this heat exchanger. I believe that the process gas coming out of the secondary cooler contains some liquid sulfur, which then enters the shell side of the process gas heat exchanger. Over time, wouldn’t there be a significant amount of liquid sulfur accumulated in the shell side? But in the shell side of our process gas heat exchanger, there is no sulfur seal device connected to the liquid sulfur tank; I can’t figure this out. Please, experts, help me understand
When the operating load is high enough, there is a balance between the accumulation of liquid sulfur and that carried away by the process gas, so it does not keep accumulating more and more.

The shell side is a heating process, and there isn’t much liquid sulfur used on a daily basis. But sulfur-sealing tanks or vents should also be installed
