Which material is the most cost-effective for the pipeline running from the outlet of the carbon scrubber in the gasification section to the gas shift unit? Please share your unit’s gasification pressure as well as the material used for this pipeline Let me also share my own views.
Some sections of this pipeline use 20G material, while other units employ austenitic material. Personally, I think 20G is sufficient; it’s just a matter of adding an additional thickness for corrosion allowance on top of the basic thickness
I remember ours was 15crmo, 22 mm thick, with a design pressure of 4 MPA
What are your operating pressure and temperature?
Mine is also 15CrMoG, with a pressure of 6.5 MPa. I wonder if there are any similar ones?
Your answer is of no use at all; could you explain more about why, and provide some reasons? I think everyone who answered knows about gasification.
Each case needs to be analyzed on its own; in some situations, corrosion prevention is a concern, and stainless steel is used. However, in environments with condensate, this condensate causes even greater corrosion of austenitic stainless steel, so it is better to use alloy steel instead.

15crmo is sufficient; stainless steels such as CL corrode very quickly, especially at elbows. If funding permits, composite materials can be used at those elbows
