For the alkylation process, along with the waste acid cracking unit, when the acid concentration is within the acceptable range, why does the temperature at the outlet of the first stage of the conversion section increase, and why is there smoke in the exhaust gas? There are no major fluctuations in the system, and the gas concentration remains relatively stable. I hope the experts here can help me figure this out.
Tail smoke emission is related to various factors, such as absorption temperature and spray density. Additionally, the insulation performance of the insulation layer also has an impact on tail smoke emission, with this effect being more noticeable in winter.
First, ensure that the moisture level after the drying tower is within acceptable limits. Second, the temperature of the acid used in the winter cycle can be increased slightly. Third, it’s possible that the heat carried away by the exhaust gas through the tail suction system is due to the lower outdoor temperatures in winter. Fourth, a higher temperature in the first stage of conversion may be caused by a higher gas concentration

The purification section features two stages of mist removal, while the exhaust gas section does not. The acid concentration in the dried gas is above 94%, and the moisture content is within acceptable limits. The temperature of the acid in the tower should not be lower than the dew point of the furnace gas; therefore, there should not be excessive acid mist in the exhaust gases, so electric mist removal is not necessary
Could it be that excessive rehydration during the second absorption caused this? I’ve encountered such a situation as well
