Because the pump generates a very high pulse pressure every time it starts up, this often causes the pointer of my dynamometer to drop below the reset point; it’s troublesome to disassemble it and recalibrate it each time. Later, reducing the opening degree of the shut-off valve on the pressure guide pipe at the front significantly alleviated the situation. I would like to ask fellow seafarers how they handle such situations in their daily work. There’s no need to doubt the issue of range selection; I hope everyone can contribute their ideas regarding this pulse pressure.
Are you installing dampers, sir? What about the cost? I’m using a silicone oil gauge on my end
A condensation ring (which provides shock absorption) is installed in front of the pressure gauge, and a shock-resistant pressure gauge is used; If the pointer still swings violently in this case, you can install another damper (if that doesn’t work, then you should check your motor).
Close the root valve of the outlet pressure gauge first when starting the pump. Restart the root valve after the pump is running stably
Previously, a condensation ring was added, but the effect was minimal; so I replaced it with a gauge having a larger range~~~~
If funds permit, it is better to replace it with a better shock-resistant pressure gauge or increase the damping. If there’s no funding, follow what was said on floor 6
