In wastewater treatment plants, the final dewatering process for sludge is carried out using plate and frame filter presses. May I ask if a hydrogen sulfide gas detection probe is needed on the indoor site?
If hydrogen sulfide is present, a hydrogen sulfide alarm should be installed.

It is necessary from a safety perspective to check whether there is poor air circulation, as the sludge tank is an anaerobic environment; anaerobic conditions in the sludge result in the production of hydrogen sulfide, and a certain concentration of this gas is present during the pressing and filtering process. It is recommended to add one that isn’t too expensive, or something portable.
There are 3 plate and frame filter presses in the sludge processing workshop, and the workshop is equipped with mechanical ventilation systems.
From a safety perspective, it is recommended to have a portable detector for toxic and harmful gases.
Given the level of safety management in domestic enterprises, I think portable devices are safer, as companies often fail to manage their equipment properly, which leads to fixed detectors becoming inaccurate or ineffective, with no one to check on them. Portable ones have higher reliability, after all, they are used every day.
