On December 12th, Beijing time, the Warriors managed to defeat the Wolves 116-108 away from home. The Warriors (21-4) remain at the top of the league with a record that shows no consecutive losses this season. Kerry Thompson stepped up in the final quarter, scoring 30 points and grabbing 6 rebounds for the game. Kevin Durant contributed 22 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists. Stephen Curry made 2 of his 5 three-point attempts, scoring 22 points and providing 9 assists. Draymond Green scored 18 points, grabbed 5 rebounds, and had 4 assists, hitting 5 three-point shots. The Wolves (6-18) have suffered four consecutive losses, moving closer to the bottom of the Western Conference. Karl-Anthony Towns scored 25 points and grabbed 18 rebounds; Andrew Wiggins scored 25 points; Zach LaVine scored 25 points and provided 4 assists; Gorgui Dieng scored 11 points and had 6 rebounds.
The Wolves lack effort rather than having a talent advantage. With Downs’ talent and the impressive statistics, it’s obvious from watching his games – he lacks Embiid’s dominance. The scarf provides good stability; he doesn’t act like a leader. Raven needs to improve his defense in order to achieve a better balance between offense and defense. I’m optimistic about what Dunn will do going forward.
