On December 12, 2016, the coal tar hydrogenation project of Shaanxi Dongxinyuan Chemical Co., Ltd. was successfully commissioned, and the light oil plant produced qualified oil products. The project is located in the Miaogoumen Industrial Cluster in Fugu, Shaanxi. The total investment for the first phase of construction is 3.661 billion yuan; the production capacity includes 1.2 million tons per year of lignite coke, 20,000 tons per year of metallic magnesium, and 500,000 tons per year of coal tar hydrogenation. A 2×25 MW thermal power plant will also be built as part of this facility.
