According to news from December 13, Kaifeng Tokyo Air Separation Equipment Co., Ltd. attended the signing ceremony for Shanxi Yiding Coal Chemical Technology Co., Ltd.’s 300,000 tons/year coal-to-ethylene glycol project. Niu Qingyan, the chairman of Tokyo Air Separation, attended the signing ceremony and successfully signed a contract with the project owner for the supply and installation of 60,000 Nm3/h air separation equipment. This signing represents another major breakthrough for Kaifeng Dongjing Air Separation Branch, following the development of the chemical-type 40,000 air separation equipment for aerospace gasification furnaces. It is understood that the project’s engineering design was carried out by China Global Engineering Corporation; Shanxi Yangmei Chemical Machinery Group Company and the Coal Combustion Engineering Research Center at Tsinghua University were responsible for constructing the Jinhua gasifier. Shanghai Wuzheng Engineering Technology Company provided the second-generation technology for producing ethylene glycol from coal, while Kaifeng Dongjing Air Separation Branch supplied air separation equipment with a capacity of 60,000 Nm3/h to support the project. The delegates present agreed that this project should be turned into a high-quality initiative to contribute to the development of coal gasification in Shanxi.
